Sanshou is just one of the favorites for women that I will talk about today. Sanshou was developed by the Chinese Military and concentrates on four essential skills: Kick, strike, throw, and lock. Sanshou features hand/kick combo's, takedowns, throws, sweeps, and clinching.
As women we really need to always be aware of our surroundings. If presented with a situation where we would have to defend ourselves and/or our children, could we really do it? I know, for myself, I always think I am bad ass and can take care of myself. But the reality of it is I am middle aged and completely out of shape. I think no matter how old we are, we all would benefit from some type of MMA technique. What are your thoughts? Would you want to learn?
